How to install an AdHoc distribution application to your iPhone & iPod Touch?

If you already provided your iPhone or iPod Touch’s identifier (UDID) to the developer (or the company) and you’re selected as a tester, you will receive two files (.app and .mobileprovision).

Drag those two files into your iTunes program and those will be copied to your iTunes, and you will see the application icon on iTunes’ Applications panel.

The application will be installed into your iPhone (or iPod Touch) during your next sync.

Enjoy the application and provide good feedback to the developer!

    Hi JP,

Can you provide more detailed information about how it fails on your Windows machine? My testers do the exactly same thing described in this article and can successfully install the Ad Hoc apps. Of course, most of them are using Windows OS.
